What is a puzzle magnet?+
A puzzle magnet is a single image printed across a grid of small magnets that snap together to form the photo and snap apart as individual fridge magnets. Vixie ships 4 grid sizes by default: 2×3 (6 pieces), 3×3 (9 pieces), 3×4 (12 pieces), and 4×4 (16 pieces) — each piece is a 2.5×2.5 inch square magnet.
How is a puzzle magnet different from a regular photo magnet?+
A photo magnet is a single 2.5×2.5" square (or any of the supported sizes). A puzzle magnet is one image spanning multiple magnets in a grid — when assembled it's a single picture, when separated each piece is its own fridge magnet. Same magnet stock, same press, just laid out across a grid.
Do I need a special printer for puzzle magnets?+
No. Any standard photo or sticker printer that handles magnetic sheet stock works. Canon, Epson, and DNP are the most common in the Vixie community. The same magnet sheets you use for flat photo magnets cover the puzzle layouts.
What grid sizes does Vixie support out of the box?+
Four defaults at the 2.5×2.5" magnet size: 2×3 grid (6 pieces, $15), 3×3 grid (9 pieces, $22), 3×4 grid (12 pieces, $28), and 4×4 grid (16 pieces, $35). All assemble into a single photo and split into individual magnets. Custom grids are supported on Pro accounts.

What magnet stock works for puzzle magnets?+
Any printable 12mil or 20mil magnetic sheet that runs through your photo or sticker printer. Magnum Magnetics, Sihl, and Ultra are the brands the Vixie community uses most. Vixie is printer- and stock-agnostic — bring your own supply.
My puzzle pieces have visible gaps when assembled — how do I close them?+
Tweak the Puzzle Bleed value in Print Studio's Edit Measurements panel. Hit + to tighten the space between magnets and − to add more space. Save when the seams look flush — Vixie remembers the value for every future puzzle at that size.
