A WiFi code only earns its keep if a phone reads it and connects on the first try. Here's what each option does.

Security type
Pick WPA/WPA2 for almost every home and café router. WEP is for old hardware. None is an open network with no password.
Hidden network
Tick this only if your router hides its name. The phone needs the hint to find a network that isn't broadcasting.
Colour and contrast
Keep a dark code on a light background. Pale codes or low contrast can stop a phone camera from reading it at all.
